This qualification relates to the requirements of electrical installations has been designed to enable learners to demonstrate their knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations. 

This qualification may be required for electrical operatives wishing to join Electrical Registration Bodies, Competent Person Schemes or the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.

This regulated qualification is for those wishing to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in the Installation and Commissioning of Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment in Domestic, Commercial and Industrial locations.

The qualification has been designed in conjunction with the Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation IET Code of Practice 5th edition, BS 7671:2018+2:2022 Requirements for Electrical Installations and current industry requirements.

This course has been developed for persons working in electrical related industries. i.e. Plumbers, Heating Engineers, Kitchen fitters, Mechanical Engineers and Appliance Installers. Its aim is to ensure learners are fully aware of and able to put in to practice the industry Safe Working Procedure for the Isolation of Electrical Supplies. The course is underpinned by the requirements laid down in the Electricity at Work Regulations and BS7671.

When working on any electrical installation whatever size it is imperative that operatives apply the correct isolation procedure every time to prevent injury to themselves and other users or engineers whilst work is taking place. Apply the industry standard procedure has been shown to prevent injury and reduce incidents of installations being made live whilst work is being carried out.

This course will deliver the knowledge and skills to ensure learners understand the requirements and can apply it on site.

Our three-day Basic Electrical Course is ideal for professionals in related trades whose work may involve interaction with domestic electrical installations. It is also well-suited for new entrants to the electrical industry who are looking to build foundational knowledge in domestic electrical systems.

For a more comprehensive training experience, this course can be combined with our two-day Introduction to Electrical Testing, offering four days of valuable, hands-on instruction.
